Alicia Keys Gives Touching Tribute To Martin Luther King Jr. at VMAs 2016

Alicia Keys had one of the most memorable moments of the night at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards in New York City.

The GRAMMY Award winning singer took the stage, with no make-up, to present the award for Best Male Video, but first, she gave a touching tribute to the late Martin Luther King, Jr., who to the day, gave his famous speech 53 years ago.

Keys’ tribute came in the form of poem, part of which said, “Maybe we can love somebody.  Maybe we can care a little more.  Maybe we can love somebody instead of polishing the bombs of holy war.”
