In 2006, The Fun Group, a company that specializes in installing amusement park cranes, created the world first “flying table” in Belgium. Since then, Dinner in the Sky has spread to over 45 countries.
But what is Dinner in the Sky? Exactly what it’s name implies: 22 guests enjoying a fine meal while sitting at a dinner table that is suspended 150 feet. And let’s be clear: you are not in a capsule of sorts. You’re pretty much dangling in the air. Of course, everyone on board is strapped in for safety reasons.
The first dinner will be held July 1 at LA Center Studios, with tickets going on sale June 3. But as you can guess, something like this isn’t cheap. Expect to spend at least $400 for the dinner of a lifetime. For more info, visit DinnerInTheSky.com.
