The Weeknd backed out of opening for Rihanna on tour and now it looks as though he’s canceling yet another performance. But this time for political reasons.

He and fellow Canadian artist Belly were set to perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Wednesday, but both backed out after learning Donald Trump would be one of the show’s guests. The two were supposed to perform Belly’s single “Might Not,” which appears on his upcoming mixtape Another Day in Paradise.

“I just didn’t want to feel like I was a part of a celebration for somebody who has beliefs that majority of us don’t agree with,” Belly said in a statement to the Associated Press. He stressed that he creates music with messages of positivity and love.

He also mentioned Trump’s pledge to halt immigration and the Islamophobic statements the presidential candidate has made throughout his campaign. As a Muslim, Belly said he appreciates being able to travel to and perform in the U.S., but Trump made it clear that might not be possible if he gets elected.

Another Day in Paradise drops May 27.
