Last night Fox News’ Megyn Kelly had her big sit down with Donald Trump.
He was the headliner for sure but she also interviewed Orange is the New Black star Laverne Cox and famed OJ Simpson attorney Robert Shapiro. And that was a good get since so much of the country still captivated by the so called “Trial of the Century.”
And now Megyn Kelly, and also reveals what OJ Simpson whispered in his ear right after the verdict was read. And I am sure she chose Shapiro because his fame now being fueled by John Travolta’s critically acclaimed portrayal of Shapiro in the hit FX series American Crime.
Shapiro says he believes he won by out maneuvering Marcia Clark, making her believe he was ready for trial. He gave us insight into that fateful moment when prosecutors asked OJ to try on the glove and finally what did OJ whisper to Shapiro just moments after the verdict was read. He said, “You had told me this would be the result from the beginning, you were right.”
Shapiro may have been right about that outcome, but 13 years later Simpson was convicted of armed robbery and kidnapping in a sports memorabilia heist gone wrong. Still when asked Shapiro would not say if he believes Simpson is guilty, what he did say was, he did make a distinction between moral justice and legal justice, and he says when the not guilty verdict was rendered he felt legal justice was done.
As for the moral justice Shapiro says, he hasn’t discussed that with anyone, including his wife.
