All this week it’s Queen Latifah week on the Morning Show. Recently I visited the set of her new talk show and afterwards shared a long, intimate conversation with her. Every day this week at about 6:10 and 7:10am, listen for excerpts from our exclusive interview.
If you want to see a taping of The Queen Latifah Show, it’s taped locally on the Sony lot in Culver city and the Queen would love for you to experience the excitement and fun of her talk show. “Just make sure you dress fly, wear comfortable shoes and work on your best dance moves,” said Latifah. If you get tickets, be sure to have lots of energy and be prepared to possibly be on camera!
When it came to choosing to record “Hello Stranger” for her album The Dana Owens Project, Latifah wanted a song which reminded her of a certain time in her life, or of her parents. “It’s one of those songs that my parents just loved,” said Latifah about the song. It’s one that melts her father every time he hears the song, and seeing her parents so happy, brings her plenty of joy.
