Primetime’s favorite father is back at the ripe old age of 76. Bill Cosby is set to be the star of a new comedy sitcom thirty years after the debut episode of The Cosby Show.
According to Deadline, Cosby’s sitcom will be a half-hour deal on NBC where, fittingly, Cosby will be the head patriarch of a “multi-generational” family. It sounds a lot like the premise of The Cosby Show, just a modernized version.
When Cosby spoke to Yahoo last years he said that the audience would like to “see a married couple that acts like they love each other, warts and all, children who respect the parenting, and the comedy of people who make mistakes. Warmth and forgiveness.”
Again, sounds exactly like The Cosby Show. And we aren’t mad at that.
