Queen Latifah will reign as ‘Queen’ over the world’s largest Halloween street festival Thursday evening at the annual West Hollywood Carnaval.

Latifah has been given the 2013 title as the ‘Queen of Carnaval’ and will be crowned during the West Hollywood Carnaval festivities tonight, according to a press release.

The multi-talented film/TV/music star recently debuted her brand new venture as talk show host on The Queen Latifah Show this past September. Latifah has also been named as one of the honorees for BET’s ‘Black Girls Rock!’ awards this coming November.

The Halloween Carnaval will be held from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. along Santa Monica Boulevard from Doheny Drive to La Cienega Boulevard. The Carnaval will include three large stages and several side stages featuring various entertainment all along Santa Monica Boulevard. Admission is free.

Please remember to celebrate the Halloween festivities responsibly. The Los Angeles Police Department advises that there will be a very large deployment of officers in Hollywood as well as DUI checkpoints Thursday night. The LAPD will have a zero tolerance policy and will be arresting law breakers.
