Hollywood Report: Most Valuable Stars & The Top Dead Celebrity Earners
In today’s Hollywood Report, we take a look at a couple celebrity top ten lists revealing Hollywood’s most valuable stars and the highest earning celebrities from the grave.
First, in Vulture‘s Most Valuable Star of 2013, the entertainment site named Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr. as the top celebrity for the second year in a row.
The list bases its rankings from “combined numbers for the actors from domestic box office totals, overseas box office totals, studio value, likeability, Oscars, critics’ scores, Twitter mentions, and tabloid value,” according to Huffington Post.
Following Downey is Great Gatsby star, Leonardo DiCaprio, coming in second and Silver Linings Playbook actress Jennifer Lawrence in third place. Rounding out the top five were Sandra Bullock and Brad Pitt in fourth and fifth place respectively.
Just in time for Halloween, Forbes Magazine has released its annual Top 10 Dead Celebrity Earners with the King of Pop coming in at No. 1 on the list, having earned an estimated $160 million from the grave. They say most of his earnings came through the two highly successful Cirque du Soleil tribute shows.
