You will still see him courtside at a Lakers game, but you may not see Jack Nicholson on the big screen anymore.
According to RadarOnline, Nicholson is hanging up his acting hat and is reportedly retiring from the movie business. The 76-year-old Oscar winner reportedly has no plans to appear in any more films after a career that spans five decades.
Radar also reports that Nicholson decided to retire because his memory isn’t what it used to be and he has trouble remembering lines on a script.
He hasn’t worked since 2010 when he starred in How Do You Know with Reese Witherspoon, Paul Rudd and Owen Wilson.
Nicholson’s career has been record-setting with 12 Oscar nominations – eight for best actor and four for best supporting actor – making him the most nominated male actor in Academy Awards History.
However, if you ask friend Maria Shriver if the rumors are true, she reportedly told E! News that Nicholson has no plans to retire and isn’t suffering from any kind of memory loss. She says he’s just looking for the right script.
Funny thing is, everyone’s talking except for Jack himself, who has yet to comment on the reports.
