Veteran musician/composer Bill Cantos has been fortunate to live out his passion of music with a successful career that boasts six studio albums to date, and now he’s giving back to the musical community through a special benefit concert.
Along with his wife Mari Falcone and special guests including the legendary Alan Bergman, Bill is performing a charity show to benefit the Society of Singers, a non-profit organization that aids in providing health and welfare for professional vocalists.
Bill joined Pat Prescott on the phone to tell us a little more about the show and the worthy cause it’s benefiting.
“Society of Singers is a really unique organization. They literally support singers, members of the L.A. community, and all over the nation that need help,” Bill explained. “It’s like this forgotten area where people in the music industry are really supporting one another.”
The show will donate all proceeds to the organization and promises to be a very exciting night of music with surprises that will make it an experience to remember.
“It’s going to be a nice, intimate evening of music. Mari [Falcone], my wife, and I will be doing our stuff, but we will also have some very special guests,” he said. “What we wanted to do is make it very unique, something you were never going to experience.”
The Society of Singers benefit show with Bill Cantos takes place Monday, May 20th at the Cordiale restaurant in Sherman Oaks. For tickets and information visit http://www.singers.org.
