One of the biggest other-worldly adventures is hitting the screens this weekend, but before the masses have a chance to see Oz The Great And Powerful, L.A. audiences are invited to a special advanced screening on Thursday, March 7th.
El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood is hosting a special advance screening for the public, with prizes, on Thursday, March 7 at 8:30 pm (doors open at 8 pm).
Besides being able to see this imaginative tale before anyone else, guests of this exclusive pre-screening will also have chance to see a special display of the colorful costumes from the movie.
The film, directed by Sam Raimi, imagines the origins of L. Frank Baum’s beloved wizard character before Dorothy ever set foot in the wonderful land of Oz.
Oz The Great And Powerful follows a small town magician Oscar Diggs (James Franco) as he’s transported to the colorful world where he meets three witches Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams). He then must find out who is good and who is evil as he travels through the land.
As an added bonus, for three weeks up until March 31, The El Capitan will have Disney “Mysteries of Magic” Award-winning magician Greg Wilson performing his eye-catching illusions on stage. The El Capitan engagement of Oz The Great and Powerful runs through April 30.
