Known for his preppy character Carlton Banks on the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, actor Alfonso Ribeiro attempted to set a new record for the World’s Largest Simultaneous Flash Mob on Monday as he led a group of more than 2000 dancers in 300 cities doing his famous ‘Carlton Dance’ at the same exact time.
He led the record-breaking event at Universal City Walk where hundreds of participants followed his dorky moves to the dance he made famous on Fresh Prince simply known as ‘Carlton Dance‘ set to Tom Jones’ “It’s Not Unusual.”
Other songs the flash mob danced to included the Sugarhill Gang’s “Apache” and LMFAO’s “Sexy And I Know It.”
After the event, Alfonso tweeted about its success, “Just did the worlds largest flash mob. Over 300 cities today at the same time. Awesome.” Check out the video below!
