It was a day full of emotions for singer Jennifer Hudson as she took the stand to speak out against William Balfour, her ex-brother-in-law who’s accused of killing her mother, brother, and nephew.

During the testimony through tears Hudson talked about her disapproval of her sister’s marriage to Balfour, his jealousy, and the last time she saw her family members.

It was on October 24, 2008 that Hudson’s mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew were found dead in their Chicago home.
