Titanic’s 100th Anniversary: Ten People Who Didn’t Know It Was A True Story

One of the biggest tragedies in history is still being remembered to this day. April 10th marks the 100th anniversary the “unsinkable” ship Titanic set sail on the Atlantic to only strike an iceberg days later and sink to the bottom to the ocean floor. There have been dozens of movies and specials telling the tragic tale of the Titanic, the most famous being James Cameron’s 1997 Oscar-winning film which was re-released in 3D last week.

Though the movie dramatically portrayed the ship’s fateful journey, it’s shocking to find out that there are some Tweeters who’ve admitted that they didn’t realize that the movie Titanic was based off a true event. Read some of those tweets here!
