Whether it’s while sitting on the couch, in a movie theater or maybe even surfing the web, many of us take part in mindless snacking on junk food like chips, popcorn or chocolate that takes a toll on our diets. In that ‘once you start, you can’t stop’ moment of indulgence, there might be a helpful trick in stopping those fits of mindless munchies.
If you find yourself reaching for that bag of chips or pile of french fries, the trick to stop from overeating might all be in the hand your eating with!
According to a research study by the University of Southern California, you can limit your overeating and feel fuller faster by just switching to your non-dominant hand!
The study published in the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin showed that people consumed 30% less calories when snacking with their non-dominant hand. This handy trick helps you slow down the speed of your bites so you’re more aware of what you’re eating and feel more satisfied.
Who knew losing weight was as simple as switching hands!
