Over the past couple of months, we’ve been following the ups and downs of entertainer, Nick Cannon‘s, health conditions, and now Nick has shared his personal journey and struggles with health in a new web series titled ‘Ncredible Health Hustle.’

Nick documented his experience from a first hand account to give fans a personal, inside look at battling the illness and his road to recovery.

In the first episode of the black and white web series, Nick chronicles the first moment his life turned upside down when having to be hospitalized for kidney failure.

He narrates over top home footage of a family vacation with his wife Mariah Carey and his newborn twins, “A few days ago, I was with my family in the snow, playing, having a good time. All of a sudden, I started swelling up, having shortness of breath, excruciating pain in my right side.”

The video cuts to Nick lying in a hospital bed and documents his hospital visits and conversations with professionals about his condition. The episode shows his journey to overcome his illness and get back to work, and features intimate video of his friends and family at his side, including a humorous interjection from his grandfather to lighten the mood.

“This is my journey. Ups and downs. It’s raw. It’s personal. My setbacks and my triumphs. My pain, my grind, my life,” say Nick.
