First Lady Michelle Obama met UK pop stars “One Direction” at The Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards last weekend. She invited them to the annual White House Easter Egg hunt this coming weekend. A favorite of her daughters Sasha and Malia,”One Direction” declined.

You know you’re hot when you can tell the First Lady of The United States, you are “previously booked.” One Direction are a group of 5 teenage boys who first appeared on Simon Cowell’s UK “X Factor” a few years ago. None of the boys made the finals as separate contestants, but formed “One Direction” shortly after. They are UK and Aussie teens who have been billed as “the next Beatles.” Paul McCartney commented that is a “tough gig to follow.”

If you don’t know who they are, ask your teenage daughter. They ARE most definitely a hot group currently, but  they are NOT The Beatles. In fact, I’m not so sure Michelle Obama would want them if she looked at their pictures on Google Images. A couple of the boys enjoy having press photos taken …with their pants down. The White House may have won on this “diss” after all.
