The former husband to the late [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Whitney Houston[/lastfm] and New Edition member, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Bobby Brown[/lastfm], was released from jail on $5,000 bail following his arrest for suspicion of drunk driving on Monday.

Police pulled Brown over in Reseda, CA at 12:20 pm after spotting him talking on his cell phone without using a hands-free device and then noticed signs of being intoxicated, which prompted sobriety tests.

Brown was taken to Van Nuys jail on suspicion of drunk driving after failing four sobriety tests. The 43-year-old singer was booked on charges of driving drunk after testing with an alleged blood alcohol content of .12%, according to reports from Reuters.

Brown already has a DUI charge on his record after being arrested in Georgia in 1996. He eventually pleaded guilty and served eight days in jail.

Brown has been back in the news ever since the sudden death of Whitney Houston on Feb. 11. He is currently on a reunion tour with his group New Edition.
