The investigation of Whitney Houston‘s tragic death on February 11th is still ongoing, but her sudden death is expected to be officially ruled an accident, according to reports from E! News. A source close to the investigation of the icon’s death confirmed to E! that her death was not a result of a deliberate action taken by Houston herself or anyone else.
The current cause of death is listed as “deferred” on the death certificate due to pending toxicology results, but sources report that the official ruling is expected to be listed as accidental.
Sources report that “nothing suspicious” was found in connection with her physicians or other people of interest in the case, plus they report that “she had no marks on her body whatsoever to indicate a struggle, and she was the furthest thing from trying to kill herself.”
The awaited autopsy toxicology report is expected to be in the hands of the Beverly Hills Police Department as early as next week, according to the E! News’ source, and the investigation could come to a close shortly after.
