Adele Leads American Music Awards With Four Nominations

We’ve been hearing a lot lately from breakout artist [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Adele[/lastfm], and if after having to cancel her entire U.S. tour recently has her down, then news of her leading the 39th Annual American Music Awards nominations should cheer her up.

The soulful British artist led the pack with four nominations for her second album ’21’ including the top award for Artist of the Year.

Adele is also nominated for Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Adult Contemporary Artist and Favorite Album in the fan-voted award show. Following close behind with three nominations each include country sweetheart [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Taylor Swift[/lastfm], pop star [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Lady Gaga[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Katy Perry[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Rihanna[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]The Band Perry[/lastfm]. Beyonce is also up for two awards.

Winners are decided by online votes from fans and the voting has already opened and runs through Friday, Nov. 11 at 11:59PM PT, so head over to the AMA website and cast your vote for your favorites now! Then watch the winners announced live at the 39th annual American Music Awards air live this Nov. 20 on ABC at 8PM ET.
